Tristan Cohen is a 22 year old filmmaker and videographer currently based out of Brooklyn, New York. He grew up on Long Island an hour and a half away from New York City, and spent parts of the winters driving to and from the mountains of Vermont. At 16, him and his family moved to Nosara, Costa Rica. until he was 21 and moved back to New York.

      Moving from the high-paced regime of New York down to the jungles and beaches of Costa Rica, Tristan discovered his passion for filmmaking. Ever since he can remember, Tristan has always felt the most alive when grounded in nature. Over the past 22 years, he has consistently questioned himself and the human condition, inevitably leading him to find filmmaking as an outlet for expression and creative endeavors.

      Fascinated by the infinite number of stories to tell and the infinite number of ways to tell them, Tristan constantly explores new realms of filmmaking at any given chance. In all of Tristan's work, he strives to portray reality in the rawest form, constantly exploring the intricacies of the human experience, finding the links between harmony and nature, all while dissecting the darker, more intricate realms of the mind. Mental health is at the forefront of a lot of Tristan's narrative work.

     Tristan is always creating, often manifesting in short-form film work that acts as practice for grander projects and supports his growth toward feature filmmaking. Many of these short form creations can be found on his instagram (below).

      Tristan is currently in production for his short film "Fish Tank", and post-production for a short documentary that tells the story of an 18 year old South African professional surfer, "Surprise", as well as in the process of writing his debut feature film.
