Beyond Fistula is a non-profit that provides social, emotional, educational, and entrepreneurial training and support to Kenyan women and girls who have survived obstetric fistula, a medical condition often caused by prolonged labor. Filmed open the span of two weeks in July 2025, this documentary, currently in the midst of post-production, will be completed mid-way through 2026. Filmed in Eldoret, Kenya amongst other local areas, this film explores the story of the non-profit, Beyond Fistula, highlighting the journeys of three women who went through and overcame the emotional and physical pain of fistula. Exploring themes of isolation, ostracization, and despair, this is an inspiring story about hope and the incredible will of the human spirit.
